Clear an area outside your remodel area for the dumpster; you want it as close to the remodel as you can and still walk around it safely. Ensure the nearby area is free from anything that would cause tumbles; make the pathways around it wide and free. Use plywood to make a ramp so you can wheel in debris. It seems so simple, but this prep will get you set up for a smooth beginning and will be a benefit to the project and time-saver too.
Take your kitchen counter off. If you use a reciprocal saw to make it more manageable, that type of saw will even saw through any screws. Easy! Just cut smaller pieces, walk it to dumpster and toss it at the back of the dumpster. Remove the sink after you disconnect the under sink plumbing. Turn off the power and snip the wires to your vent from the cabinets. Then a little tug pulls it out. Use a pry bar and hammer to remove the backsplash. If applicable, take down the ceiling grid. With the power still off, disconnect any wiring from your lighting. Unscrew the kitchen cabinets and trim.
